Riders,
At the Fall NEC, the AMVETS voted in favor of the following rule changes for the 2010 AMVETS National Convention. The following are the changes. I have paraphrased each for our use: full rules changes are available through AMVETS.
1. Registration: #4. Convention Registration Desk: Local times apply, Louisville, KY-Sunday August 9-August 15.,Registration hours remain the same.
2. Registration: Members of Subordinate Organizations i.e. AMVETS Riders who are attending the Convention must register as an AMVET as well as with the Riders.
3. AMVETS Meeting Dress code: Neither delegates, alternates, or guests will be permitted on the convention floor wearing shorts,t-shirts,tank tops,flip flops, ball caps etc..
RIDERS BERETS are allowed.
You will need to register with AMVETS if you are attending the Convention and you will need to register with our Riders National.
Riders Berets are Official head gear as approved by AMVETS so there should be no problems with your parent units.
DON'T FORGET TO START NOW TO PLAN FOR THE RIDERS NATIONAL CONVENTION.
